Chris Schmidt of Chris’ Plumbing and Backflow Preventer Services, LLC has an active, certified master plumbing license with the State Plumbing Board of Louisiana. Chris’ license number is #5905 with a WSPS endorsment.
Chris started working in the plumbing industry in the mid 70’s with his uncle on the weekend and summers into the mid 80’s. He attended plumbing classes in VOTEC school in high school.
After serving in the Army, Chris continued his passion for plumbing, passing both the Journeyman’s and Master plumbing exams.
To qualify to take the Master Plumber’s exam, Chris had to first become a Journeyman plumber –
completing at least 5 years or 8,000 hours of experience installing, repairing and maintaining plumbing systems.
A Family Business
As the customer base and reputation with customers and plumbing inspectors grew, so did the demand on the business. To ensure the office was running effectively and efficiently, Chris’ wife applied her 30 years of business and management experience. Not long after, their daughter-in-law joined the front-office Team.
Out in the field you’ll find Chris’ oldest son Cody, long-time friend Louis Dofour and a growing crew of rock-solid helpers.
Because of his strong reputation as a reliable plumber, Chris’ plumbing team was recommended to a contractor for a 95 houses and 2 commercial building renovations in the flood-damaged Baton Rouge market. This 6 month “flood” of work created an opportunity for instant growth. Where some companies would have drown, Chris’ team thrived. With the addition of several commercial customers and the booming residential market the name Chris’ Plumbing & Backflow Preventer Services, LLC has earned a great reputation across the South Louisiana market.
Today, Chris leads his team by example. By getting out of the office and into the field, Chris earns his reputation and customers’ respect every day with his “failure is not an option“ attitude, knowing the customers are depending upon him and his Team.
Master Plumbing LicenseA Master Plumbing License is a requirement to operate a plumbing company and to supervise journeyman and apprentices plumbers. A Master Plumber designs and ensures the proper installation of plumbing and mechanical systems. You can find our license here at the Louisiana State Plumbing Board Website.
Master Gas LicenseA Louisiana State Master Gas License is required to perform the design, installation and repair of natural gas plumbing systems statewide.
